reflections

Odd to be doing this here; my main blog, as noted, is elsewhere. I need to get going again on Mail Order Blues; it seems it would be appropriate to create a blog for it and post the damned thing; probably here rather than LJ because of the support here for various things like paragraphs. I'm also oregonnerd at LiveJournal, take it from there. Reflections: I have just inserted my theories into the sociological community. Just a few, and those which are pretty well indisputable given current theory structure...and the insertions (at the first developmental stage of society, mind--and, yes, they're hypotheses not theories, I've blown it yet again...) uncontrollably change the perception of the further developments. Some things which are 'intrinsic to human character' turn out to be mere social additions, supported by language, lingually-oriented linear consciousness and resultant stratification supported by rituals. Stasis is 'unnatural'; it requires constant use of energy (geologically, such energy is represented by things like hills and other geographic features). A closed system consists of a kind of stasis. Given that energy is treated as information, and economic statements (money) are treated as information, an interesting model can result. Do I have the right to do this? But then guilt beckons, after and before. This society is insane, because it is suicidal. It possesses weapons of mass destruction (actually, potential biosphere destruction) and continually poisons the environment, massively--and has done so since 1500, mind, sulphuric acid is quite deadly and is the result of burning coal. Before that, the pollution can more or less be regarded as inconsequential. Not enough people. With the overpopulation trend resulting from infant mortality (the current trend basically resultant from the plague, mind), that quickly changed once the stats on infant deaths were changed. And cities are the only structure we have for containing large masses of people, because of a centralized-authority and -structure assumption intrinsic to our social structure. Capitalism and communism in the real world equate to one thing: socialism, which doesn't work. See Ursula K. LeGuin The Dispossessed. See Camus, particularly Notebooks. See Wells. (See Pope, but he was paranoid.) etc. A change needs to be seeded. And thus. Glenn
